Backstreet Gallery was voted the Best Art Gallery in Florence 2014 & 2016, in the Siuslaw Newspaper People’s Choice 2010, 2011 and 2014 survey (The category was not offered in 2012 or 2013). Located at 1421 Bay Street overlooking the Siuslaw River, the gallery is nestled in the heart of Historic Old Town with great restaurants and near-by parking.

As a co-op Gallery, Backstreet members are co-owners of a special business that holds a leading place in the city’s art community and has for over twelve years.

Over 20 outstanding artists are members at this time. They create a wide variety of lovely colorful, functional and whimsical pieces of art in a variety of media. Unusual pottery, wood and fused-art glass works cover the new display shelves as well as altered-art, fascinating boxes and sculptures that will capture your heart. The walls are filled with remarkable 2-D pieces. There are beautiful watercolors, outstanding photography, oil and acrylic paintings, fiber art and unusual wall hangings in various media. Stunning but affordable jewelry grace the jewelry displays. Artists also enjoy creating distinctive and affordable greeting cards for all occasions.
