OCTOBER-2016

Nichols featured at Backstreet

Featured this October is long time member Karen D. Nichols. Her work never ceases to fascinate as patrons roam our gallery. Creativity literally pours out of Karen, who has just finished her fifth published book. Her reception is October 8, 3-5 p.m., during the Second Saturday Gallery Tour.

Karen's "Paper Paintings", as she calls them, will be featured this month along with her watercolor paintings and other art in many media. She also will have her newest book,
The Moral of the Story.

One of Karen’s favorite media is paper-painting collage, a sculptural relief art form that gives spirit and 3D shape to her many birds in flight, colorful florals and interesting people. She also enjoys painting in watercolors, oils and acrylics.

She is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and a founding member of the Florence Regional Arts Alliance where you may also find her work.
