The term mixed-media encompasses many forms of art.  In my case I use a variety of materials, transforming ordinary everyday objects into an art form.  Other terms used are Re-Cycling, Found Art and Altered Art.

For me, assembling discarded or used items, found in thrift shops and garage sales, into pieces of art is great fun.  The hunt is a very big part of that fun and it’s also recycling at its best.

I’m inspired by oddments that can be blended together to create a unique and original piece, either free standing, wall hangings or jewelry. I really don’t plan ahead but let the piece evolve as one thing leads to another.  Each piece emerges with its own individual and original flavor.

My husband Charles and I retired to Oregon and find this beautiful
coastal area an inspiration to us both.  I was an AVP and Assnt.
Manager in a Northern California bank.  The freedom of retirement
has opened many artistic adventures to us.
